    1. ROSIE GAINES - Closer Than Close EP

      Rosie Gaines will also be synonymous with her smash hit single 'Closer Than Close' (also the name of her fifth album) which now gets reissued by the Demon Record Singles Club. Gaines actually started her career back in 1985 when she perfumed and recorded with The Curtis Ohlson Band but it was when she was a member of Prince & The New Power Generation that she really got noticed. Her Closer Than Close album came in 1995 and soon after she was dropped by Motown, but a remix of the title track a year so so later arrived in club land on bootleg and sold over eight million copies around the world.     1. LUCA LOZANO - Number One Difficult Man EP

      Shout out to Klasse Wrecks who clock up the not so insignificant milestone of 50 releases here. Luca Lozano is the one who takes the reins for the big 12" and serves up some electric sounds for peak-time deployment. 'Number One Difficult Man' is noisy, intense, acid-laced tech house and 'FRe-Mix; is full of edgy breakbeat energy and bouncing synth sequences with knick-snapping hits. 'Save Me From The Rave' is our old school action with retro stabs and pummelling drums so get your gun finger at the ready. 'Root' then brings mangled synths and metallic breaks under some female vocal energy. Learn More

    2. SYLVESTER - Dance (Disco Heat) EP (Louie Vega Remixes)

      While not one of Sylvester's better-known club hits, 1978 jam "Dance (Disco Heat)" is every bit as essential as "I Need You", "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" and "Over & Over". Here, Masters at Work man Louie Vega offers up his takes on the disco classic, which sits somewhere between the traditional NYC sound and the muscular, arpeggio-heavy electronic style of disco made famous by Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley. Vega's 12-minute A-side "Re-touch" strips out many of the electronic touches, instead focusing on delivering celebratory, peak-time disco abandon. On the flipside you'll find two tasty DJ tools: a loopy, slightly more house-centric dub (which also includes a lengthy filtered section to allow for longer mixes) and a short instrumental mix.       This new one from Binary Digit is inspired by the legendary Balearic Islands. It is a great second EP on this label following his fine debut and captures Ibiza's famous essence - namely partying, relaxation and blissed-out days while mirroring the island's hedonistic yet harmonious moods. Each track evokes the joy and unity of clubbers celebrating in an atmosphere of sharing, respect and ecological mindfulness. Standout track 'Smkndpe' has gained TikTok fame and has a quick-stepping groove with nice balmy pads.       Psyk's Become Nothing, released on Non Series Spain, offers a compelling dive into forward-thinking techno.       Four years since their 032 collaboration, TSVI and DJ Plead are back on AD 93 to stir the pot of electronic music. Caldo verde, a hearty Portuguese soup, is an apt metaphor for their rich and diverse sonic palette. Blending Latin club, Arabic hard drum, and South African gqom, they craft a global club experience that is both familiar and utterly unique.     2. EAST COAST LOVE AFFAIR - Musica Para Todos LP

      Our close friend and fellow Scot, now Ibiza resident, Pikes resident DJ and island favourite, For Mankind (Russ Forman) had talked about doing a studio collaboration for some time. Last winter, we finally managed to get in the studio and make some music. Drawn upon our mutual loves of house music, dub and weirdo dance music by the likes of African Head Charge, Larry Heard and Sun Ra. We also added sprinkles of influence from other oddball tracks that make up our more interesting sets. We spent hours just pulling and listening to records from all our collections and talking about music before hitting the studio. Learn More

    1. RUBY RUSHTON - Stapodia EP (Pre order)

      pianist/composer Aidan Shepherd and drummer Tim Carnegie - were invited to Mykonos as part of a collaboration between Maera Music and 22a, which allowed the band to spend a few days writing and recording some new music. It was an opportunity for the quartet to spend some time together in a secluded hillside villa without any distractions and ultimately kick start the writing process for a long overdue album.
